For her dreamy wedding ceremony, Yami Gautam wore her mother’s 33-year-old traditional maroon silk sari whose drape featured intricate gold work. She completed her bridal saree with a matching dupatta gifted to her by her maternal grandmother (naani) and an exquisite Pahaadi – Himachali Nath, which was again gifted to her by her grandmother. Keeping her wedding low-key and minimalistic, Yami Gautam chose to do her own makeup while her hair was done by her doting sister Surilie Gautam.
Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar had informed fans about their wedding with a surprise social media post. “With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes,” the couple had shared on Instagram.
While Aditya called the shots for ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, he also fell in love with the film’s leading lady, Yami Gautam . Spilling the beans on their romance, a source had previously told ETimes, “Sparks flew on the sets of ‘Uri’ almost from Day 1. They might still not accept that they were in love from ‘Uri’ days but the fact remains that they don’t like to indulge in any PDA, which is exactly why nobody from the ‘Uri’ unit came to know about their feelings for each other.”
