Nikita Dutta takes the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine; says, ‘After what I have gone through, I think everybody should get vaccinated’

Actress Nikita Dutta, who recently recovered from Covid-19, was clicked outside Bandra’s Mehboob Studio today. She had gone there to take the first jab of the Covid vaccine. The Producers Guild of India (PGI), the association of Indian film, television and digital content producers, on Monday announced a vaccination drive for its members and associated production crews beginning from June 1. The multi-day drive is being held at the film studio in Bandra.

‘The Big Bull’ actress has exclusively shared her experience of taking the vaccine with ETimes. After taking the vaccine, Nikita said that the vaccination drive is being conducted very smoothly. She said, “My overall experience was very good, the vaccination was done very smoothly. The entire process–from striking off the name from the register to the waiting period, to getting jabbed–everything was very well organised. The chairs were kept at a distance, people were following rules, and the place was hygienic.”

Since she is a Covid survivor herself, she understands the importance of getting vaccinated at the earliest. Stressing on the importance of getting the jab, she added, “After what I have gone through, I think everybody should get vaccinated. Especially if you did not have it, because this is not something you can take lightly and I am telling this with my personal experience. It’s not any other viral, where you’ll bounce back in no time. It took me 2 months, to get back where I used to be. Vaccination is the solution to save oneself and others from this deadly virus, and it should be considered seriously.”

On the work front, Nikita will soon be seen in Bosco Martis’s dance film ‘Rocket Gang’ alongside Aditya Seal.
